DIY Pc Cooling Fan

this is an instructable for a pc cooling fan for extra cooling
it doen't involve any pc modding


tools & materials:
soldering iron
epoxy or hot glue
old pc card network/sound/graphics card/etc. that doent work or not used
coumputer fan (the type in old power supplies)
connector to connect fan to power (i used a floppy disc connector)
dremel or band saw
pexiglass or sheet metal or thin plastic


REMOVE

remove card from socket 

MARK

mark fan and bracket

mark it about .25 in from each edge on fan
then mark the bracket

CUT

CUT IT OUT (yayyy power tools)

cut the fan and bracket useing a dremel or band saw

!!!!!!! be very careful and use safety glasses !!!!!!!!

and DO NOT CUT THE FAN BLADES

Cut out a piece of your pexiglass or sheet metal or thin plastic the same size as your fan

GLUE

glue the piece of pexiglass or sheet metal or thin plastic to the back of your fan

place the brackets face down on the table and set the fan on top glue the top one on first and then useing another pc card align them.
make sure that you get the distance right then glue the bottom one on

again DONT GET GLUE ON THE FAN BLADES  

SOLDER & GLUE

solder your connector on making sure you get the polarity right

then glue the connector on the top of the fan

i found that if you glue a small strip of plastic on 
it will increase performance

DONE !!!!!!

you're done now go test it and put it in your pc
