DS Cases: the Good, the Bad, the Really Overpriced
So this instructable will cover some of the many cases for the Nintendo DS, DSi, or 3DS on the market today. I will then discuss the pros and cons of the case. So let's crack on!
NERF Case
This is a case that I highly suggest to the DS owner. I currently have this on my DSi and is a great addition to it. Also this is a very good case price wise. -Pros- it comes with brackets to fit the 3DS, DS Lite, And DSi. it is completely foam but the brackets are not. Foam gives player very good grip. -Cons- it is just a hair on the big side but that is the only con I can think of at the moment.
A Metal DS Case: What Possibly Could Go Wrong?
No case that I have ever bought for the DS is as crappy as this one! Let me get started. -Pros- It comes with free screen protectors. (but they too are crap) -Cons- If your hands are sweaty the metal becomes slippery and uncomfortable. So for the sake of the happiness of you and your DS, DON'T buy this case!
No Way! a LEGO DS Case!?
Now this one is interesting, a plastic DS case that you can put LEGO on? sweet! I haven't come up close with this one but with all of my DS case hunting expertise, this one is a good one for the avid LEGO fan. I highly recommend this one, even though it is plastic. -Pros- It comes with some custom 2by2 that make a good addition to any collection. you can put any lego pieces you can even start to imagine on it, which sparks the imagination! -Cons- none (but please note that it is not perfect)
Rubber Case
This case is completly rubber and fits over a 3DS ONLY. I've got to say this one is a very good one but it will not protect it form falls if that is what you want. -Pros- Rubber gives player good grip and looks quite cool. -Cons- none ( but it is not perfect)
Mario Kart Case
This case is a slip on that comes with a bulky Mario Kart stylus, but is none the less cute. -Pros- did I mention the stylus!?!? -Cons- just a slip on. Oh and if you have a 3DS they have one for that to, but it is not a slip on.
The Coolest Case Ever!
If you have fifty bucks to burn and you own a DS with no case, buy this one! it holds ten games ear buds and the DS all in one! -Pros- it protects everything in it. -Cons- you can't play games while the case is on. That's all folks please comment!
