De Ruzie-Oplosser

The 'Ruzie-oplosser' ('Hassle-solver') is a machine that can resolve quarrels, in a fun and playful way between children through teamwork and friendship!!

Of course doesn't the machine really solve an issue where the children would fight over, but it works as a sort of placebo. By working together to solve the problem that the machine gives them, they learn to do the same with their quarrels

Use:

1. The two children who have a quarrel, each grab a handle of the machine.

2. They both start turning the handles.

3.They need to try to spin the handles at the same speed for a certain time.

If not, the car on the display will lean to the left or the right, depending who turns the fastest.

4. First set of LEDs will light up.

Keep going!

5. Second set of LEDs light up.

Almost there!

6. Third set of LEDs light up.

Well done!!

7. While they still hold the handles, they give each other a hand.

8. The green light above the machine lights up

9. The quarrel is solved!!

The intention was to work this out with sensors, which counts the number of revolutions of the levers. These signals are forwarded to the Arduino which gives on its turn issues commands to the stepper motor, or he has to go to the left, middle or right column.
