Interested in a easy homemade swing?
Follow these steps all the way to a cool end product and enjoy!

Step 1: Materials

You will need:

-5 metal tubes (4 -> diameter: 18mm, length: 750mm)
-Canvas cloth or other durable fabric (500*500)
-Four rubbers to strengthen the canvas
-Firm rope, depends on the height
-8 carabineers or other attaching tools
-1 metal ring
-10 rope clamps
-4 metal S-hooks
-Some firm rubber bands
-Drill + drill bit that is slightly larger than the carabineers’ width
-Scissor or blade to cut rope
-sewing machine

Step 2: Drilling Holes

You

take the four metal tubes and drill on each side a hole 15 mm of the side all the way trough.
I only drilled one side all the way through because I used a different kind of carabineer.

Step 3: Joining the Tubes

When the metal tubes are drilled, you take them all together and use the rubber bands in the middle to hold them in place.

Step4: Attach the Carabineers

Attach the carabineers to the tubes via the holes.

Step 5: Cut the Rope

IMG_20141216_141023.jpg

Cut the rope into four even pieces according the desired height.
Make sure you have enough rope because the rope:

-has to have loops on the bottom so it can be attached to the carabineers

(the loops are hold in place with the rope clamps)
-has to go through the ring in the centre so the swing can be hanged

-and then back to the S-hook to adjust the height.

Step 6: Attach the Ropes to the Swing

The bottom loop gets attached to the bottom carabineer.
Then the rope goes through the top carabineer, through the ring and back to the S-hook.

Step 7: the Seat

Cut four holes in de canvas on each corner and strengthen them by sewing a piece of rubber around the holes.
And now the only thing left is to attach the seat to the swing by putting the top carabineers through the holes of the canvas.

Step 8: Enjoy!
