Decorate Room Ceiling With Neopixel/FastLed Strip

Colorful lights, if done right, can look cool and futuristic. LED light strips have come a long way, which means you can ditch the year-round Christmas lights for something cleaner-looking. What’s nice about LED strips, though, is that they’re thin and flexible, so you can put them places traditional bulbs can’t go, like under cabinets and in drawers.

LED strips looks cool while decorating our drawing room, it feels like amazing while staying at room.

In this Instructables I am going to introduce you how you can decorate your drawing room sealing with fastLED strip. It is quite simple to use and make. Also android make it simple to control its pattern via bluetooth.

Lets Start!!!

1 ESP8266-01

2 HC-05 Bluetooth

3 FastLED Strips WS2811 or WS2812

4 Asm1117 3.3volt Regulator

5 5v power supply

6 12v power supply for LED strip (according to power rating of LED strip)

7 Some wires

8 Dot Matrix PCB

9 USB to TTL Converter

Follow this instructable to setup and how to code in ESP8266-01.

We choose here ESP8266 rather than using arduino beacause it has more flash memory of 1MB while arduino has only 32kb of arduino uno/nano.

Power supply of LED strip must be choosen according to tha power rating of led strip. In my case my led strip has rating of 12v and 3amps length of 5 meter.

Length of the strip can be increase, just attach gnd pin and data pin common of both the led strip at the end, put new power adaptor at vcc of the strip.

Turn on the circuit then 1st step is to pain HC05 bluetooth module

>Go to bluetooth settings click on HC-05 then click on Pair insert password 1234.

>Open app touch on bluetooth icon select HC-05.

>Operate your LED strip functions through your android device.
