Delicious Blackberry Milkshake
Now that it's summer, it's always so hot outside! On a hot summer day, most people crave the refreshing taste of a milkshake. I can show you how to make a healthy and delicious blackberry milkshake in 6 steps! 😋😋😋
Supplies
- 1 cup of blackberries
- 2 cups of milk (Whatever type you prefer)
- 5 scoops of Vanilla Ice cream
- Blender
- Strainer (Optional)
Add the Blackberries
Wash the blackberries and put them into the blender. Blend them until they look smooth, just like shown in the picture above.
Add the Milk
Pour the milk into the blender. Blend the milk and blackberries together for about 10-15 seconds. The color of this blend should look a light burgundy. The milk lightens the milkshake and keeps it from getting dense.
Using the Strainer
If you want to remove the seeds, follow this step. If not, go right ahead to the next step. Put the strainer over a glass container. Pour the blended blackberries through the strainer and do this until you are finished.
Tip(s):
1. Dump the seeds from the strainer into the trash so that the process goes faster.
2. If you have a larger strainer, use it!
Scoop the Ice Cream
After you are finished removing the seeds (if you chose to do so), scoop the ice cream into the blender. You can choose to add as many scoops as you want, but I went with 5 scoops. Blend the scoops until there are no clumps left and the consistency is smooth. The ice cream adds the sweetness to the milkshake and gives it the texture of one as well.
Mix It All Together
Leave the vanilla ice cream in the blender and pour the combined milk and blackberries back into it. Blend it together until it is a very light shade of purple.
You're Done!
Pour the blackberry milkshake into a glass. Add a scoop of ice cream on top. Enjoy! 😊😊😊
