Design a Space Station With Tinkercad!
if you're dreaming up to be an astronaut, you've probably thinking about eating pizza in a space station or whatnot, but before you become an actual spaceman and blast off to the orbit, let's do a quick lesson about space stations by building your own one with tinkercad.
Supplies
just your friendly computer and a tinkercad account.
Let's Look at Some Photos
before we actually begin, let's look at some space station photos to see what a space station mostly needs. i made a chart of things we should make one by one.
- main compartments
- solar pannels
- crew compartments
- thrusters
- extra docking ports
- re-entry capsule
- transport shuttles
- windows
Main Compartments
first, let's build the main compartments of the station using cylinders, tubes and cubes. this will be the main core of our ship.
Solar Pannels
now that the main compartments are finished, let's add some solar pannels to give the station more energy. we'll install more later.
Crew Compartments
we need more space for crews to eat, sleep, and do experiments, let's build the crew comparrtments with more cylinders, cubes, etc. we'll add more solar pannels now that we need more power.
Thrusters
let's add some thrusters to keep our ship from re-entering the atmosphere.
Extra Docking Ports
we need more room for supplie ships to dock, so let's make some extra docking ports.
Re-entry Capsule
in case of emergencies, let's add a re-entry capsule so our crewmates can safely return.
Transport Shuttles
with the crew inside, supplies would quickly drop. let's send some transport shuttles to keep up the supplies and let crewmates come and go.
Windows
now that our space station is almost finished, let's add some windows so crews can see outside.
Finished!
our station is finished!
