Desk Stand for a Little Ham Radio (Baofeng UV-5R)

Attached is a little video for a desk stand for a little radio.  I like to have this little rig next to my keyboard but it flops over easily and the angle is not great for seeing the screen.  So I put this little stand together in about 20 minutes.  

The metal is a bent and curved aluminum yardstick that was cut down and screwed the the wood block.  Both were painted with exterior spray paint.  Small felt pads on the bottom of the wood help it slide easily and not scratch the desk.  The angle is also good for using the buttons; the hand easily reaches around to the metal for back support as the buttons are pushed.  

This little stand could be used for a number of smaller rigs and it is very stable.  A modification could be constructed to hold a speaker mic - I may work on that in the future.
