Hello 👋, today I’m going to be showing you basics to putting together a basic Desktop computer, this guide does not tell you how to hook up cables but shows where to put parts and where to install.

Supplies

Processor (CPU) The processor, or Central Processing Unit, is the brain of the PC

Memory/RAM

A Motherboard

Storage

A PC Case

Power Supply Unit (PSU)

CPU Heatsink/Fan

Video Card (GPU) Graphics Processing Unit. (Not needed if you have integrated graphics with cpu)

Putting in You CPU

First, Make sure you put your motherboard on a safe place to build, after that your gonna start by installing your CPU, Put your CPU where it says CPU Socket when you scroll up look under your CPU and find the triangle, find the triangle on the socket and put it in gently so you don’t break one of the pins, it’s ok if you break one of the pins because it should still work the same.

Putting on Cooler

most CPU’s come with a fan, find the part to screw in the fan and line it up properly and screw it in straight plug the cable from the fan to the fan headers, make sure you put in the cables correctly and don’t push to hard make sure your on a good surface to do this on.

Installing RAM

To the right of the CPU there will be 4 slots open up the tabs on the top and bottom and put it in straightly then close it, do it for slots 2 and 4 if your installing 2 sticks if your installing 4 do it for all 4.

Putting in Case

Make sure you buy the right size case so your motherboard fits, some people puts their motherboard in first if you wanna do it first, you can, line up the motherboard with the cpu towards the top of the case find the screw holes and screw them into the case, now you got your motherboard in the case. If you put in a GPU take off the panels that line up the GPU cable ports and leave them out.

GPU

GPU’s Are not needed if you have integrated graphics built in your cpu, But I recommend a dedicated GPU if you do any kind of animations, or video editing, where the arrow is pointing is where you should put your GPU, make sure you line it up correctly and push it in gently until it snaps in.

Installing PSU

Plug in all your cables before you put it in, I won’t be telling you how to do that though, now put you PSU upside down and slide it inside into the bottom left by the motherboard.

Installing Storage

This is where you install a ssd, you have to unscrew it once it’s off slide it in firmly and then screw the cover back on.

Different Cases have different places to put hdd so Google where yours go
