Diorama Box
Hello world! It's Crafty Dragon and Ping. As toy collectors, we have many, many figures and figurines that get absolutely everywhere. As a fun and simple solution, I created the diorama box. It's a fun solution that not only works as a display, but is also fun for younger kids to play with. You can store anything from legos to collectible figurines! The only limit is your imagination.
Materials
For this project you will need:
Shoebox
Fabric Scraps
School glue or hot glue
Pretty paper
Decorations for the top (i.e. gems, seashells, half marbles, whatever you want)
Landscape
Use your fabric scraps and glue them to the top of the box. Fold the corners down on the sides and glue them. Make sure you fold the fabric under the lid if you can. I wasn't able to, because my fabric scraps were too small.
The Sides
Use the pretty paper and cut it to the size of the sides of the box. Glue these down. Make sure you let it dry before trying to put the lid of the box on.
Go Nuts!
This is where you can go nuts with the decorations! I used some pretty half marbles to cover the divide between land and lake. I also added some seashells and a sand dollar. You can do whatever strikes your fancy!
Find Some Inhabitants!
Add your collections to this beautiful box! Create a LEGO scene, display Funko Pop figures, or just put some mementos in it!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you want more like this, I will be posting more instructables as well as some more crafts on my blog. If you want to check out my blog go to craftydragon2002.wixsite.com/dragon
