Doctor Doom Mask

Hello. I hope you enjoy this Doctor Doom tutorial and the patterns I designed for this cool mask. NOTE: Many of the patterns will need to be slightly altered to fit your particular head size and face type, but these paterns are a great start to making a sweet cosplay mask.

NOTE: Print patterns on 8.5x11 size sheet of paper.

Step 1:

Either make a paper mache mask of your face or just pick up a paper mask like this one I found at an arts and crafts store.

Step 2:

Cut out holes for your eyes, nose and mouth. Don't worry, these will be covered up with your facial pieces, so it doesn't need to be pretty.

After that, paint it with silver acrylic paint.

Step 3:

Use the patterns provided in this tutorial. Print them out, trace them to cardboard or craft foam and fold or cut where the instructions tell you to. It should be pretty obvious where to fold and glue.

NOTE #1: I like to use contact cement. It's super strong, but hot glue and super glue work too.

NOTE #2: I used heavy card stock for the brow, nose and chin. I used thin craft foam for the eyes and cheeks (because it's light and moldable), and I used .25" craft foam for the forehead section which you may not even need depending on the base mask you use.

Step 4:

Glue on your facial pieces in this order: Chin, Nose, Eyes, Brow, Cheeks.

AGAIN: I like contact cement.
