This project is very easy, and only takes 10 or 20 minutes. It can be used on any size of dog.

Materials Needed.

1. Old flannel, like an old bed sheet.
2. Scissors
3.A dog (preferbly one that stands still).

Fastening the Front of the Sweater.

Put the sheet on the dogs back, with the front edge just up past the dog's collar. Bring the front edge of the sheet together in front of the dog's neck, and make two cuts one to two inches long and about an inch wide on each side were it comes together, so you have two strips to grab hold of. Tie the strips together under the dogs chin to hold the sheet up on the dog, and trim off excess cloth around the back of the neck.

Leg Holes.

Feel through the cloth for the dog's shoulder. Carefully cut a paw sized hole in the cloth over the dog's shoulder, and pull the dog's leg through. Repeat for other leg.

Fastening the Sweater Under the Dog.

Bring the edges of the sheet together under the dog's belly. Feel were the sheet comes together under the dog. Go out from there about five inches, and cut four or five one inch wide strips (almost up to were the sheets meet) on both sides of the sheet towards the middle of the stomach.

Finish Trimming Excess Cloth.

Knot each strip on one side with the strip directly across from it on the other side. Be careful you don't make the knots so tight that you can't get the sweater of the dog when your done. They should be snug, but not tight.

Finishing Touches.

As an optional finishing touch, you can tie a bandana around the dog's neck.
