This is a fun recipe which you could do with other members in your family like younger siblings and have a great time doing. Along with making domino shapes you could also cookie cutters to make snowmen and other figures. I hope you enjoy this recipe and like always, have fun!

Mix together with a wooden spoon, or your hands:

- 1 cup butter (if salted don't add the pinch of salt)

- 3/4 cup confectioners or powdered sugar

- 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract

- 1 egg yolk

and add:

- 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour

- 1/4 cup cocoa powder

- and a dash of salt (if butter is not salted)

all sifted together into the mix

Letting the Batter Sit

After making the batter, divide the batter into two bowls, and cover with a wet towel or saran wrap, so the batter doesn't dry out. The batter shouldn't be much drier than when you first put it in the fridge.

Making the Shapes and Cooking

First, set the oven to 375 F/ 190 C

Now you can make the domino shapes. An easy way to do this is to use a square cookie cutter, and then cut that in half, for the small rectangles. For the small indent in the middle, very lightly use a knife to make a very thin cut in the middle of the rectangles.

Now, but the cookies in the oven for 10 minutes, let cool, and enjoy!
