Make 2 more stacks of 2 popsicle sticks each. Lay these two stacks of popsicle sticks vertically on each side ¼ of the way in from either side of the base. Make sure the new stacks are laying on the base ⅓ of the way down the stack.

Make a new stack of 5 popsicle sticks, and place it directly over the base as shown

Holding the popsicle sticks from the middle to prevent shifting, triple wrap a rubber band around each side of the base. Make sure the two vertical sticks are still perpendicular to the base.

Now take the two spoons, and rubber band the tip of the handle of each spoon to the shorter end of the vertical popsicle sticks about ½ inch from the end of the spoon. The spoons should rest on top of the base of the catapult.

Take your projectile and place it into the mouth of the spoon. Press down with one finger on the rubber band securing the spoon, and pull spoon with one hand, and the projectile should launch.

CAUTION: Please wear eye protection and do not aim projectiles towards eyes.
