A very low price Drawing Robot Car made with Lego Duplo® Blocks. It uses the Kitronik Servo:Lite expansion card with micro:bit and developed with Microsoft MakeCode.

Supplies

2 x microbit board

Kitronik Servo:Lite board

2 x 360 servo motor

Battery 3 x AAA

5 Lego Duplo blocks of which 2 slightly modified

Drawing Robot Car with micro:bit and Duplo® blocks

Even with Lego Duplo blocks you can build a robot car that moves and draws: for a child it is a very fun application.

It does not require welding or the use of glues but only the screws to fix the two servo motors.

It is necessary to make two joints in a block to insert the two motors and make two holes to pass the pen.

The assembly can be done in various ways given the modularity of the Duplo blocks.

How to Program It

I have developed some programs to draw simple geometric figures and fractal geometries.

Radio Control

I used a second micro: bit as a radio controller to drive the DuploCar and draw interactively.

Moving the second micro: bit that was carried by little Teddy created splendid and unexpected drawings.

You can find the .HEX files in the link I entered earlier.
