Earth Pops With "Molten Core"

Here are some Earth Cake Pops I made for Earth Day, April 22nd. Complete with "molten core."

This tutorial basically follows my other cake pop recipes 
You will need:
White chocolate candy melts
White cake mix
Frosting
Chocolate cake mix
Eggs(Cage-Free), Oil, Water
Lollipop sticks
Blue and Green Gel Food Coloring (for using in candy melts)
Yellow and Red regular food coloring.
White nonpareils 

You will make one normal size chocolate recipe from the box and then about 1/3 of a mix of the vanilla. For the vanilla one add yellow and red food coloring until it looks orange.
Bake your cakes and let cool.
Crumble up cake mix into fine crumbs in separate bowls.
Put in a couple heaping table spoons of icing. Mix that together and keep adding icing until you get the consistency of a pliable dough.

Make smaller, nickle-sized balls for the molten core.
Then make a flat pancake of the chocolate cake dough and envelope the orange ball with it. 
Roll until it forms a smooth ball.

Melt yourself some candy melts in 1 minute increments in the microwave on the defrost setting. 
Mix in the blue food coloring for one batch

Dip your lollipop stick into some candy melts  and then stick that into your cake ball. 
Not too far or it will come out the top and ruin it. I know from experience.
Then carefully dip the cake ball into the blue melted candies
Gently tap off excess goop. 

While still wet sprinkle some white nonpareils for the north pole. 

White those set melt some more candy melts and mix in green food coloring. This will be a smaller batch than your blue.

After they are all set and dry, pipe on green melted chocolate into continent shapes. Mine weren't perfect by any means. 

Let set. 

I use cut off sandwich bags (recycle the plastic) and wrap and tie with either washi tape or ribbon. I stuck these in piece of Styrofoam covered in a paper bag. (recycled)
