Easiest Mini Catapult Ever

A catapult is a device in which built-up tension is suddenly released to shoot an object into the distance. The good news is that now you can create one in less than a minute with less than a dollar's worth of supplies. Think of all of the amazing things you could hurl into the great beyond of your office!

Gather Your Supplies

You will need:

* 3 rubberbands

* 10 popsicle sticks (the wider kind are better, but the skinny ones are fine, too)

Bind Your Base

Stack 8 of your popsicle sticks on top of each other and bind firmly with a rubberband on one end -- about an inch of the way from the tip.

Repeat on the other side of the stack of sticks.

Prepare the Arm

Take your remaining 2 popsicle sticks and bind together on one end (about an inch from the tip again). Bind them as firmly as you can without snapping the rubber band.

Finish the Arm

Wedge one of the popsicle sticks in the arm piece through the 2 bottom popsicle sticks of your base. Push the arm through as far as it can go. Push slightly past the point of resistance.

Ready to Launch!

Now you've got a cool catapult. For added stability, you could glue a pop cap onto the arm for your ammo.
