Looking for an easy and healthy way too add some pizzazz to any dish. Try making an Apple Bird or Swan! Takes no time at all and all your friends will think your a skilled chef. All you need is an apple of your choosing, a sharp house hold knife, and the ability to cut straight. I made this in less than five minutes. Give it a try!

Prep

Pick an apple of your liking and grab a sharp household knife. Make sure you cut on a strong and stable surface.

Cut Apple

Cut two half-inch slices of one side of the apple. Set these two slices to the side for later and turn the apple on the side that was cut.

First Wing

To start the wing find the center of where you want the wing at and create two quarter-inch incisions that meet. Next, go a little further outside of where the incision was made and make two deeper incisions that connect behind the first incision. This process can be done as many times as you want. The more incisions the bigger the wing.

Finished Wing

This is what it should look like when its done.

Second Wing

Now do the same to the other side.

Back Feathers

Do the same procedure to the top of the apple to give it some tail feathers.

Create the Head

Finally, take one of the slices that was set aside earlier and cut a head for your bird or swan. The stem of the apple or a toothpick can be used to get the head to stay on the apple.
