This is a really easy to do hack on those push to turn on dome lamps. You can get them for like a dolor at the dolor store. Then get your RGB COLOR-CHANGING LED from http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/LED-158/RGB-COLOR-CHANGING-LED/1.html 10 for $7. Shipping will cost you for just some LED's so consider buying a kit too. http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/category/305/Kits/1.html

Hack It

Now solder in your RGB COLOR-CHANGING LED with the correct polarity. You may also want to tape down the LED's leads and bend them to fit into the hole where the bulb used to be. It's a pretty bright LED and it will shine right through so bright if its not set in far enough that you won't get the full color change effect. You'll see circles of the Red, Green, and Blue.

Put It Back Together and Throw a Party.
