Easy Chinese Chicken and Broccoli
It's my favorite chinese dish. I first ate in at Mulan Chinese Reataurant in Boston.
It's easy and very quick to make but most important, it's VERY DELICIOUS.
So, how to make it?
ingedients:
chicken breasts (cut into small chunks) (the amount of it depends on your preferences)
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons garlic (chopped)(optional)
fresh broccoli florets (I believe that's what they're called)
6 tablespoons chicken broth (divided)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
some salt and pepper
5 green onions (sliced) (optional)
1/4 cup hoisin sauce (if you don't have it-like me-don't worry! https://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-Hoisin-sauce/ )
This time, during fryong, I added some sesame seeds and it was pretty good!
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil. Add garlic.Fry for 30 seconds. Add broccoli and 4 tablespoons chicken broth.Fry broccoli for 2 minutes turning it often. Remove from pan and set aside.
Add a little more sesame oil to the pan (about 1 tablespoon). Season chicken bits with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook until chicken is fully cooked.
Add in remaining 2 tablespoons of chicken broth and hoisin sauce. Add broccoli and cook until it becomes well heated.
It's best to serve it with white rice. And eating it with chinese eating sticks surely adds to the atmosphere.
