Easy Crochet Mittens

5678561b45bceba5b7000a69.jpeg

These are easy crochet mittens using single and double crochet, and back loop double crochet. If you don't want to do back loop double crochet, you can easily double crochet in its place, and it'll still look fine. For bigger or smaller sizes, simply add or take away rows. I hope you like this Instructable!

If you're making a larger size, you're going to want to make the thumb longer as well.

Attach yarn to the edge of the thumb hole. Chain 1, single crochet around.

Single crochet on bottom half of hole, slip stitch on top half. You can use a smaller hook if you need to, I know the stitches here are pretty tight.

Single crochet around.

Decrease, single crochet around.

Decrease, single crochet halfway around, decrease, single crochet the rest of the way.

Decrease around to seal up hole.

Fasten off and weave in ends. Make one more for the other hand.

Flower (optional)

To make the flower, make a magic ring and half double crochet 5 inside.

Slip stitch to beginning half double crochet to join.

Chain 1, *single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch* in same stitch, repeat from * in every stitch around to make 5 petals.

Slip stitch to join and fasten off and weave in ends. Make two flowers and sew onto mittens.
