Easy Monster Jaws

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and my family and I have some fun food traditions we do every Halloween, this is one of them. This is a healthy-ish, fun snack that's great for parties! And you could even substitute the marshmallows with candy corn, so it looks like vampire teeth!

Prep time: 10-15 minutes

Supplies

3 to 6 medium apples [ If you're using 6 apples, then double the amount of marshmallows/candy corn ]

1 butter knife

Jif peanut butter [ Or any other peanut butter/nut butter, such as almond butter, cashew butter ect. ]

Half a handful of small marshmallows

1 1/2 tbsp of marshmallow bits

Half a handful of candy corn [ If not using the marshmallows ]

Cutting the Apples

First wash the apples and dry them. Then cut the apples into 4's [ Like in the first picture ].

Carefully cut the core out of each apple.

Once you're done with that, cut them into smaller slices, [ second picture ]. But make sure you don't cut the slices too thin, or it won't work out as well.

Spreading the Peanut Butter

Yay! You finished cutting the apples...Now it's time to put the peanut butter on.

Take your butter knife and put a thin layer of peanut butter on both sides of the apple,

[ be careful you don't get any peanut butter on the edge of the apple slices ].

Grab some marshmallows and place them along the edge of the apple slice. You can give them missing teeth, or different sized teeth too! It's totally up to you, just have fun with it!!

If you're using small marshmallows, make sure you tear them in half.

Enjoy

I hope you had a good time making these monster jaws and you enjoy them.

Tip: Keep in mind that apples turn brown really fast, so if you're taking these to a party or something else, and it's not for awhile, put a small amount of lemon juice on the tops of them.
