Easy No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

I recently discovered I like Peanut Butter - At 22 years of age. Yes, I know that's odd, but I can't ever remember eating it before then! I decided I liked it so much that I wanted to make a Peanut Butter Pie out of it. Sorry, I'd already started eating it when this pie was made as it was from yesterday. : )

Gather Ingedients!

You'll need the following!

2 cups of Whipped topping (or 1 cup whipped topping, and 1 cup of cream cheese)
1 cup of Peanut Butter
1 cup of butter
3/4 cup of sugar
Chocolate syrup
Caramel syrup

Optional (Toppings)

Andes mint chocolate candies
Peanuts

Mix It Up.

I didn't call this easy for nothing! Throw everything into a big bowl, and mix it together. This step will be easier if your peanut butter hasn't been refrigerated yet by the way!

Put your cup of butter in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it. Then toss it, and the peanut butter into a large mixing bowl. Stir until it's combined, and then add your whipped cream, sugar, chocolate syrup, and, caramel syrup.

I gave the ingredient amounts for a 'standard' to go by, but it all really depends on your personal preference. I don't like as much sugar in things as most people so if the filling is not sweet enough it's fine to add more sugar.

Likewise if you're preparing this for someone who can't have much sugar you could also use less. Though you may want to make sure to buy peanut butter without much salt in it then. Many people also use cream cheese in their pies; I'm not fond of it so I went with more whipped cream as a substitute. I was so busy mixing that I forgot to take a picture for this step before filling the pie crust - oops!

Add Your Filling to Your Pie Shells!

Dump your filling into your pie shell, and smooth it out on to the crust. If you'll notice this pie is a darker color than the one in the first picture. I ran out of whipped topping which led to this coloration - It's still pretty good, but would've been better with the two cups like the first picture had in it!

Be careful with your spreading. The filling is sticky, and you may start pulling the cookie crumbs away from the pie pan!

Extra, Extras, Extras!

If you want to add anything to your pie do it now. I added some peanuts to the top of the first pie, (because it seemed fitting mostly.) I crushed up some Andes candies for the second.

They sell Andes baking chips, but I had the candies on hand so I made my own. Just put a few into a ziploc baggie, and find something to crush them up with. Sprinkle them on the top of your pie.

You could of course use other things. I drizzled some pink colored sugar on top of it as well, but that picture came out badly. You can make that by simply putting about two drops of red food coloring into a ziploc baggie of sugar and shaking it. Soon the color will disperse into the entire helping of sugar. At more coloring for deeper shades of red. : )
