This easy planter project can be done by almost anyone and can easily become a family project as well!

Tools

This project only uses a few easy to find and simple to use tools

1. Hammer
2. Saw (any type will do)
3. Some clamps
4. A ruler

This project only requires a few materials and most can be found around the house or improvised

1. Your base piece of wood (this is how big your planter will be)
2. Side panels  (these should be the along the longest two sides of the base and you can make them whatever height you would like)
3. End panels (these will go along the shorter sides of the base and should be the same height as the side panels)
4. Some nails to put it all together (I just used leftovers from other projects)

Putting It All Together

This is when you finally put together the planter

I attached the Side panels first and then the end panels later using the sides as a guide

Planting

This step is pretty much self explanatory but I am going to include the ways I did it with some tips

Just get some soil which you probably have around somewhere, some seeds to plant, and some tools

*I lined my planter with a plastic bag which I cut and taped in, which may be helpful and something you want to do

Plant your seed about 1/8 to 1/4 of  an inch under the soil, and water them

Make sure to work together so your plants get water everyday and get enough sunlight

Later on you can hopefully harvest your crops and get the full benefit: Get some good homegrown food and do your part in helping the earth!
