Easy-Use Bridge to Access the Beach

unnamed.png

The goal of this project is to build a bridge that fits and works in one of the areas that where given. My bridge is a very simple bridge that is used for quick and easy use. It's small and fits anywhere that doesn't need something crazy. Can be used by anyone and is a sight that pleases.

Supplies

2 twigs.

2 popsicle sticks.

1 plank of wood.

hot glue.

I wanted to do something easy enough to get done quick and do a lot for its matters. The site I chose was Nelson Park in Plymouth, MA. It leads to a main beach but it is hard to get across. If you cross, you get wet. For example, with my bridge it was used for covering a small tidal river at the beach so say strollers or wheelchairs can get through EASY.

Building the Bridge Model

As you know I wanted something easy and small that gets the job done so I made a quick platform for people to walk through that also doesnt look like it isnt supposed to be there or in the way of anything. Then I added rails because you know it can't have anything dangerous happening. That's about it really doesn't really need much in that area that's why I chose it. For the side supports, I broke the pieces to size in order to give it a rugged look. I used tongue depressors because they were the perfect size. I glued everything together with a glue gun.

What I Learned

There's a lot that goes into bridges like math weathering and material. You have to be very careful and persistent with what you do. It's fun and there are endless possibilities you can do with bridges. In my area the tides are a huge problem.
