English Muffin in a Loaf

English muffin in a loaf bread is easy to make and tastes just like English muffins. The bread can be toasted and served with eggs or your favorite meat. This is the perfect bread to top any meal! I hope you try this bread and enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients

5 3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 Tablespoons yeast
1 Tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups milk
1/2 cup water
Cornmeal

Mix Dry Ingredients

Add 3 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.

Make Dough

Heat milk and water to 120-130F. Add to dry mixture; mix well. Begin to incorporate more flour until you get a stiff dough, you may not need all of the flour.

Prepare Bread Pans

Grease two bread pans and sprinkle cornmeal into the pans and get the sides coated with cornmeal.

Let Bread Rise

Scrape dough out of mixing bowl and into the bread pans, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.

Bake Bread

Bake the bread at 400F for 25 minutes. Immediately remove bread from pans and place on a cooling rack let cool completely. Once cool slice and serve toasted with butter.
