Today we will learn to make 2 different styles of envelopes. We will be using scrap paper which are single side printed from the printer. I have been using these envelopes from eternity as we did not had the luxury of buying envelopes. So we improvised.

You just need single side printed paper, scissor and glue.

Envelope types:

Greeting envelope

Business envelope

Take a used printer paper and fold it width wise keep 2 inches from top for the flap.

Fold the sides around 1/2 inch. Make sure both corners are same even if you are folding by judgement.

Open up and cut diagonally as shown in the images. These will make the side flaps and glued later.

Cut the diagonal markers.

Open up the paper and now cut the marked flap as we do not need them.

Glue the flaps as shown in the image and close both corners.

Technically you have made an envelope at this moment. A little professional look can be achieved by rounding the corner of the top flap.

You have a beautiful greeting envelope. Use it without guilt.

For making business envelope you again start with the same A4 paper as you did for the greeting envelope.

Now fold the paper length wise. Fold both the sides. Make sure the flaps overlap a little for gluing them to each other.

Open the full sheet and cut the extra flaps marked with x.

Fold the long overlapping flaps and glue to each other. Make sure the flaps don't get glued to the front face.

Glue the smaller side flap and you are done. As usual you can round the corners of open flap for aesthetic look.
