Opaline Suncatcher
I've always loved Opaline stone with its ethereal look. Its name refers to Opal Stone, but Contrary to the Opal, Opaline is man-made from glass, just like the cristal I used for the suncatcher effect. I chose to combine the two to accentuate the magical look of both the crystal, and the opaline pearls.
Supplies
15cm long 1mm wide Stainless Steel chain.
1* 6cm diametre ring
1 * 3.8cm suncatcher crystal
25 Opaline beads, about 6-8mm wide (you can use any type of stones, I also made others with aquamarine and moonstone beads)
1* 10mm split ring connector
3* 4mm split ring connector
2* 3mm split ring connector
About 30cm of 5mm diametre aluminium wire
1* 6mm lobster clasp
**All of the jewelry type accessories I used were stainless steel**
Prepare Your Base
At first, attach the chain to the lobster clasp with one of the 3mm connector and leave it to use later.
Then couple the 1cm connector to the crystal, and to the three 4mm connectors, and also leave it to use later.
Connect the Beads to the Ring
Wrap the ring tightly 5 or 6 time with the aluminium wire and string 5 beads on it.
Wrap the wire 2 times, and string another 5 beads.
Repeat this until you are out of beads, and wrap the wire 5 or 6 times to close it.
Assemble
Assemble the chain, the crystal and the ring together with the last 3mm connector.
Install and Enjoy
And enjoy your beautiful Opaline suncatcher in the sun :)
