Evil Eye Beaded Bracelet

I fell in love with evil eye beads on a trip to Turkey several years ago. My favourite way to wear them is a simple pendant on a chain around my neck, but I also like these beaded bracelets, and they are fun to make too!

Step 1: You Will Need

1. Beads - I used 7mm blue evil eye beads. I used 14 beads for the bracelet in this tutorial
2. Wire - I used gold plated copper wire in this tutorial
3. Lobster claw clasp - to match the colour wire you use
4. Jewellery pliers
5. Wire cutters
6. Jump ring

Step 2

Slide a bead onto your wire. Make a loop in the end of the wire, and close it. Slide the bead up close to the closed loop. Cut your wire oh the other side of the bead, leaving enough wire to make another closed loop on the other side of the bead. I left about 6mm for mine, it can vary depending on how big a loop you want.

Close the loop on the other side of the bead.

Repeat this for as many beads as you require. (I used 14 beads for this bracelet.)

Step 3

Connect the beads together by opening the loops then reclosing them around the loops of adjacent beads, using your jewellerly pliers.

Step 4

Once you are happy with the length of your bracelet, add a lobster claw to one end, and a jump ring to the other end.

The End

That's it! All done! You can experiment with different beads and coloured wire.

I quite like stacking a few of these together too.

If you don't have enough beads to go all the way around your wrist, or if you are making a gift for another person and you are unsure of their wrist size, another thing you can consider is adding an extender chain, as seen in the photo below.
