Extended Exposure for Camera

Exposure can be defined as the amount of light per unit area. In photography exposure refers to the time the shutter opens to let the light into the lens.

As the amount of time increases the amount of incoming light also increases.

So if we increase the exposure, we can in short take a slow motion of a moving image. This is very commonly used in images which show vehicles moving in a highway.

This technique can be exploited in many ways:

The image I captured shows an exposure time to 15 seconds, and depicts how the firestick falls like a waterfall, you can come up with many more symbols, figures and objects.

1. Take image of flowing water in which you can show the flow of water. An exposure time of about 10-20 seconds is sufficient for flowing water photography.

2. Innovative ways like making patterns in the air using (fireworks) flowing things and then leaving an imprint later.
