I find that I use my external hard drive a LOT and I'm always afraid I'm going to wreck it when I'm carrying it from place to place. Mostly I'm worried the wire will get lost, the connection will get jammed or the hard drive will get crushed in my bag by other and mroe ominous objects.

Therefore I decided it was pertinent I make a case for it. This case is made from my old pajamas (what ever was lying around at the time, right?) and glue gun. I made sure there is a double pocket - one for the hard drive itself, and one for the wire, so they don't scratch or crush one another. It has a little drawstring as well so it's easy to access.

So let's see how it's done!

Materials

You will need the following:

A nice hard surface to work on
Scissors
Glue gun + Glue
Material (preferably pajamas as they have a nice seam at the bottom to thread the draw string through)
Some sort of string
A Safety pin (to pull the string with)

Cutting Your Fabric

So let's roughly "measure" the fabric (estimate really) with the device we are working with.

Make sure to leave about 1 inch around the device of excess fabric so there's lots of room to work with. Also, if you can, try to leave one seam on the right or left because that will make your job so much easier when you're gluing.

Gluing the Bag Together

Lay out the fabric with the bad side down (The side where you can see the thread from the seam) and glue around the edges - except for the top!

Now all you have to do is turn the bag inside out, and you're in business!
(Don't forget to unplug the glue gun!) :D
