Eye-land Treasure Hunt Board Game

We would like to share our school project regarding Physics with a title Eye-land Treasure Hunt Board game. In this page we will help you to make your own board game. Materials needed:

Pin board

String or yarn

Thumbtacks

Ruler

Protractor

The first thing you will do is to plan what design is acceptable with a theme treasure hunting. Take a piece of drawing or writing paper to draft the background design.

After making a draft on what would the background would be, use any photo editor applications to help you edit and design your board game. In the picture above is the background design we made in our board game. You can use our background design as your reference material to help you.

This game will run with partnership with Physics. The Physics behind this game is finding the resultant vector. We used resultant vector to find the displacement of the player from one place to another. Locating the overall change position. You need to make your own problem on finding a resultant vector. For example, the player needed to find his/her way to the treasure. His/her player must evade monsters and obstacles from the sea, so one must use another route (resultant vector) to get in the right location. Compute the given measurement using Pythagorean Theorem for able to find the resultant vector. The picture above is an example for resultant vector.

Using the graphing paper, print the design that you've made and use it as your background in your board game. Lay it out on a pinboard. Get your thumbtacks, pin-up the four corners of the paper. At the center portion of the paper, put a piece of string or yarn and place a piece of thumbtacks into it. The string, ruler, and protractor will be used on finding the measurement of a vector.

Get your calculators, rulers, protractors, and pencils. Solve to find the resultant vector. Solving it correctly will lead you to the hidden treasure. Play it together with your classmates and friends. Enjoy solving and enhance your analytical skills.
