IMG_20210221_154613-01.jpeg

Hi All,

I introduced wood-working to kids with my last version,

We faced a few issues as below

  • Too much cutting
  • Not stable to stand
  • Sometimes may tip over due to weight distribution

In this version, we have simplified the design, and made it more stable

Hope you like it

What Do We Need ?

  • 4mm Plywood
  • Jigsaw
  • Sandpaper 80, 180, 220 grit
  • Acrylic paint
  • Varnish
  • Wood Glue
  • Template

Template

  • I have created a template
  • Download and print on a page size "letter"
  • Note that the base is 10cm long

Cutting

  • Stick the template on a 4mm plywood
  • Using a jigsaw or hand saw cut each piece

  • Using PVA glue or fevicol, glue the front, back, and legs as shown
  • Glue the nose in place

Finishing

IMG_20210221_154718-01.jpeg
  • Sand plywood with 80, 180 and 220 grit papers
  • Paint the stand with white acrylic paint as base and highlights with grey and black
  • Draw the eyes and nose
  • Varnish it or apply a clear coat
  • We are done, place your glasses on it and adore the beauty
