Heartwarming Fabric Bracelet
This bracelet certainly won't keep you warm this winter, but it sure is cute! It does take some time to make, but is well worth it.You can make a necklace this way also, but make it longer. This is my first attempt and I had to improvise a few things; hopefully I'll find better ways to make it later, but here's what I've got so far:
Get Supplies
You will need:
Materials:
-fabric (something lightweight. I think floral patterns look the best.)
-Beads (round beads will be the easiest to use).
-A piece of ribbon
Utensils:
-Scissors
-A needle and thread that matches your material (or a sewing machine if you are more talented than me at using them)
-1 Safety pin
(All of these things can be purchased at craft stores, but I found all of mine around the house. If you don't have fabric, try using a lightweight blouse that you don't wear anymore.)

Sew the Fabric
Cut your fabric as long as you want your bracelet to be (measure around your wrist and then add about 8-15 extra inches for the knots you will be tying and so you have enough to make a bow from the extra fabric on the ends.
Cut your fabric wide enough to fit around your beads and add about a 1/2 in. extra to make room for sewing.
Fold the fabric in 1/2 lengthwise and sew down cut side (so that it is sewn into a tube). Attach the safety pin to one end and pull through the tube so that the seam is on the inside and doesn't show. Tie a knot at one end with a piece of string, but leave enough room to make a bow out of the fabric to secure the bracelet to your wrist.
(I obviously ran out of fabric, because I only gave myself a few extra inches, so I improvised with some ribbon)

Beads
Slip a bead down the fabric tube, and secure it by tying a string around the other side of it, make sure it's tight. Continue to do this until it reaches the desired length. once you have enough beads you can tie a bow and wear your new jewelry or give it as a gift.
