Fast, Simple, Inexpensive Egg Decoration for SPRING!!

Easter is a wonderful time to use eggs in your decorating scheme, but what about the rest of SPRING?  I've made this INEXPENSIVE, SIMPLE, FAST, EGG decoration that I use to decorate from EASTER until the first day of Summer!  You may have everything you need already on hand, so lets get started!

A scrap piece of wood about 12 inches long- any thickness you desire, you may even opt to use a piece of heavy cardboard.
6 Plastic Eggs -Enough to spell the word Spring.  You may even choose to blow out real eggs.
Black Sharpie Marker
Moss to cover the base
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Acrylic paint and an old toothbrush to speckel the eggs

First, using an old toothbrush and acrylic paint, I "speckled my eggs''.  You can speckle as much or as little as you choose. You may even omit this step if you want. Speckle one side, let dry, roll and speckle the other side. Remember to cover your work surface.

After your eggs are speckled and dry, plan your layout so you won't end up with the same color side by side.
Using a black sharpie marker, freehand your letters, one by one onto each egg.  You may want to refer to a specific font on the computer and use that as reference.

Find the center of the wood base, so you have an idea of egg placement on either side of center. 
Using the hot glue gun place a puddle of glue where you want your egg, place the egg down and hold in place for a second or two until the glue firms up a bit. 

Glue the moss around and between the eggs, along the front, back and sides of the wood base (if it's thick, and you want to hide it) and YOUR FINISHED.  You've just made a cute, country, spring addition to your decorating decor!
