Fix a Loose Wheel Center Cap

Finally I was able to find the correct size (outer dia. 57mm) for my Toyota however it was pretty loose when I tried to install into the factory stock O.Z. made Toyota rim. The plastic may become rigid over time or just simply not a perfect fit to this exact rim as the rim has an etching right where the "claws" of this cap would hold on.

I'd like to share a cheep solution that may help you with similar issues.

Supplies

  1. Scissors
  2. Lighter
  3. Heat shrinking tube (for mine a d=13mm / 6.5mm was a perfect fit) - roughly 100-150mm was enough for the 4 caps.

Remove the Internal Spring (if Present)
