I will show you how to build a custom piece of "art" for anywhere you want. This instructable will cover the basics so that almost anyone wanting to do this project will be able to do so. This Consists of a Box-Frame housing all of the electronic parts for the project, a very simple circuit (no board needed), a few speakers(computer and regular(two wires to connect to)), a few LEDs(as many as you see fit), and an imagination. Have Fun!

You will need:
1. A few pairs of of headphones, or ones you don't mind destroying.
2. Wire
3. Leds
4. TIP31 Transistor (Easily found at Radio Shack)
5. Computer speakers(with a headphone jack)
6. Regular Speakers(They have two raw wires coming from them)
7. Headphone Y-Splitter(Found at Radio Shack)

Parts for the circuit:
1. An old pair of headphones, or ones you don't mind destroying.
2. Wire
3. Leds
4. TIP31 Transistor (Easily found at Radio Shack)

You will need cut off the buds of the earphones and, using a lighter, burn away the cloth, exposing the wires. Connect the colored wires, and connect the regular wires. You will have two wires now protruding from the 3.5mm headphone jack. Connect the wires as shown.

2. Computer speakers(with a headphone jack)
3. Regular Speakers(They have two raw wires coming from them)
4. Headphone Y-Splitter(Found at Radio Shack)

Wire the regular speakers up in a series.
You can put them through a volume adjustor if you want

Mount everything onto the box/frame to finish it up. Use any picture you want and add your own creative twist to this project.
Close it up and mount it on your wall. To use it do the following. Turn on the computer speakers, start playing music, if the LEDs don't start flashing, unplug and re-plug in the headphones from the computer speaker. Sit back, relax, and marvel at your day's work.
