Floating UFO (Kludge77's Tardis Remix)

vlcsnap-2014-08-31-15h29m23s100.jpg

When I saw Kludge77's tardis, as a The X-Files fan, I thought: I could do this with an UFO!

So, I did a quick model in cardboard.

Materials

Clipboard01.jpg
  • Cardboard (I used a cereal box and some thicker cardboard taken from a supermarket box)
  • 2 magnets
  • 10 cm of transparent thread
  • glue, staples, tape
  • scissor, cutter

Cut, fold and glue (or use staples, tape) the cereal box to do a square based parallelepiped.

Then fold it in a C shape.

1st Magnet

Tape or glue to the 1st magnet in the upper arm of the C.

Draw 2 circles on the thicker cardboard. Make a little hole in the bottom and insert the thread, block it with tape and/or knots.

2nd Magnet

Put the 2nd magnet on the 1st circle. Pay attention that the polarity of the magnets will be right so they will actract and not repulse.

Glue and staple the 2nd circle and decorate the UFO.

I wanted to do the UFO with FIMO, but uncluckly today I didn't have much time.... It came out something like a flying apple pie....

Anchor

Anchor the UFO inserting the thread in a hole at the base of the C. Close the holes in the C.

Finish!
