Fresh Fruit Salsa

IMG_8316.jpg
When it comes to snack food, salsa is as iconic as apple pie is american.

Fresh fruit salsa is a quick, easy, healthy, and tasty spin off the traditional tomato salsa.

We always have some kind of fruit in bloom around my house-usually too much- so we do a lot of canning and freezing.
This year we tried making salsa out of our peaches, and it turned out very tasty.

Incredibly simple and customizable, depending on your taste:
  • 2-4 peaches
  • 1 mango
  • tomatoes (optional)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 red onion (red is much tastier than yellow)
  • 1 packet of salsa mix
  • cilantro would be a nice addition (optional)

Feel free to add other fruits if you want. You could even add figs! If you do, be gentle, as they are very fragile.

Chop and Combine

Dice all your ingredients, add the salsa mix and stir gently.

You can refrigerate for 20-30 mins, or devour immediately!
