Fresh, Healthy and Easy Guacamole

Guacamole is the best dip ever and can be super healthy when you make it yourself. I really don't get why you would torture yourself by buying factory made "guacamole". Yes, quotation marks, because a lot of supermarket guacamole doesn't even resemble guacamole. Did you know that some brands only contain 2% avocado? Why would you want to buy that? Luckily, guacamole is super easy to make and it's packed with veggies, so super healthy!

Ingredients

This is what you need for a good bowl of guacamole.
- 2 Ripe Avocado's
You can check their ripeness by pressing your thumb on the skin. If it dents and bounces back, it's perfect. No dent? Not ripe. No bounce? Too ripe and therefore not tasty anymore.
-
1 Tomato
- 1/2 Lime
- 1 or 2 Shallots
- 1 Piece of Garlic
- 1 Spanish pepper
- 1 Hand of Cilantro (Coriander)

You'll also need a good knife, a chopping board, a bowl a spoon and a fork.

Let's Make Some Guacamole!

Cut the avocados by slicing them along the length around the kernel. Twist to get the halves loose. Now pop out the kernels and spoon out the pulp. Put it in a bowl, get out your fork and squash the pieces of avocado 'til it's a little smoother. Chop the shallots (1 or 2, depends on how much you like that flavour), the tomato and pepper. Make tiny bits of them. Chop the cilantro and garlic too and cut the lime in half. You'll just need half, so make a nice drink from the other half! Mix the chopped shallots, tomato, pepper, cilantro and garlic through the avocado. Squeeze out the lime, give the guacamole a last little stir and voila, you're done! Now enjoy it with some nachos, quesedillas, taco's or whatever you like! I really loved it on a cracker with some salt and pepper.
