Fruit Tart With Cream Cheese Filling

This is an easy to make fruit tart with cream cheese filling

Supplies

  • Cream Cheese 250gm
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • puff pastry 10X8 inches
  • Frozen fruits 500 gm
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Vanilla 1 tsp
  • Orange Zest 1 tsp
  • Butter (to grease the pan)
  • 8 inch pan

  1. Thaw the puff pastry and the fruits and let the egg and cream cheese come to room temperature.
  2. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees C.
  3. Add the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and orange zest to a bowl and mix them using a hand mixer until combined.
  4. Butter the pan.
  5. shape the puff pastry in a circle and put it in the pan covering the edges.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the puff pastry in the pan.
  7. Arrange the fruits on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  8. If there are still more puff pastry left, you can add them around the edge of the pan.
  9. Brush the egg wash over any exposed puff pastry.
  10. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. depending on the power of the oven it might be either less or more. Start checking at the 20 minutes mark.
  11. Remove from the oven , and let it cool down.
  12. Chill in the fridge if you can resist. It is best enjoyed cold.
