GG Slippers

Custom slippers made easy with supplies you may already have. The top portion of the slipper is a great way to use fabric scraps.

Supplies

Wrap-N-Zap or 1/2 yard of Cotton Batting

Avery Easy View Plastic Divider or Paper Board Sheet

Eco Stay or Non-slip Padding

Fabric - 20" x 20"

Glue gun

Glue sticks - 6 - 8.03" sticks

Shears

Parchment paper

Pencil

Socks

Paper board - 8" x 11"

Paper - 8" x 11"

Cut Sliper Sole

Trace your feet on paper (foot pattern). Round the area from the big toe to the little toe.

Trace foot pattern from paper to non-slip fabric.

Cut 2 pieces for each foot from non-slip fabric.

Cut 1 piece for each foot from plastic divider or paper board.

Cut 1 piece for each foot from cotton batting.


Glue Slipper Sole

Tear a portion of parchment paper to protect surfaces from hot glue,

Hot glue clear sheet to non-slip fabric.

Hot glue second non-slip fabric piece to top of plastic divider.

Hot glue cotton batting to top of second non-slip fabric piece.

Form Slipper Top

Tear a portion of parchment paper to protect floor from hot glue,

Put sock on your foot. Add a cutout of paper board underneath the top portion of the sock as additional protection from glue heat.

Lay cotton batting over socks.

Make cross pattern over cotton to bottom of feet with hot glue.

Attach Fabric to Slipper Top

Cut around glued edges of cotton batting. You now have a pattern for the slipper top. Use this pattern to cut another piece from the cotton batting. You can trace around this piece to use as a pattern for future slippers.

Hot glue cross pattern on batting cutout.

Lay out top on fabric. Cut two.

Cut fabric allowing 1/2 inches along straight edge of fabric.

Fold edge over cotton batting and hot glue.

Attach Slipper Top to Slipper Sole

Place slipper top over foot.

Mark side edges with pencil.

Trim any excess material from edges.

Hot glue slipper top to slipper sole by gluing each side edge first before gluing the toe section.

Fill in any empty spaces around edge with hot glue.

Finished!
