GLOW STICK SABER

Lightsabers are cool. But most are either expensive or tacky. Going to the Star Wars Episode 7 premiere is cool when you bring your lightsaber. But then you're stuck with it at the pub. So here's the solution:

Glow Stick Sabers ! < do visit this page ;)

Supplies

1) Get your small glow sticks out of your party drawer or go buy some at the nearest party shop. (for Belgians: I went to AVA and bought a box of 15 for 1,39 euro). Most of the brands are the same size (approximately 20cm) even though the box might be bigger.

2) You’ll need a cutter knife, a ruler, tape and paper glue.

3) Download glowsticksaber.pdf here for free and print the Glowstick Saber you would like to make. (P1 = Vader, P2 = Mace Windu Phantom Menace, P3 = Luke Skywalker ROTJ, P4 = Darth Maul).
Important: DON’T SCALE IT! print it 100% on regular (+- 80g) size A4 paper.

Cut It Out

Carefully cut out the Glow Stick Saber print. Get rid of the white space. Make as many as you wish.

Tape It

Choose a glow stick that matches the Glow Stick Saber you want to make. (note: The transparent one is the purple one). Tape the left side of the print to the glow stick with a piece of tape. Make sure it is straight and well aligned with the glow stick.

Put glue on the other side. Make sure you put glue all the way to the end of the paper.

Carefully roll up the print. Like I said before, make sure the ends stick. The Glow Stick Saber handle will be thicker at the longer bits.

VOILA!

Now Crack your glow stick and shake the Sith out of it! Impress your friends at the Episode 7 premiere or at some Star Wars themed party with your tiny Glow Stick Sabers !!! Oh do practice your lightsaber sounds!
