GUITAR HEADSTOCK PICK HOLDER
If you are a guitar player you no doubt have a large collection of picks, but you probably have five or six favourites. This is a simple organizer to keep those favourites at hand and allows easy access. Since it resembles a guitar headstock, it makes a nice display as well.
Supplies
A bamboo cutting board, sandpaper,
2- 1,1/2” wood or drywall screws. Felt stick on furniture protectors.
A scroll saw is a necessity, also a fine toothed hand saw, a small square, 1/8” and 1/16” drill bits, a screwdriver to match your screws and a portable drill. Also you can download my templates or design your own.

LAYOUT
Trace the templates on to the wood. Mark the positions of the tuning pegs and use a square to draw a line 3/8” deep at each location.
CUT AND DRILL
Fasten the board in a vise and use the hand saw to hand cut the 3/8” slots. Drill the two 1/8” holes in the base. Carefully cut out the pieces with a scroll saw. Line up the headstock with the base and drill two 1/16” pilot holes in the bottom through the holes in the base. Sand everything till smooth.
ASSEMBLE
Attach the base to the headstock with the screws. Stick on the felt protectors. Put your favourite picks in the slots and enjoy.
