Garden Box Construction (4'x6')
Have you ever wanted to build or buy a garden box? The cost of pre-built boxes and lumber itself is extremely expensive. Fortunately you can build one for just a few dollars in nails and tools if you use wood pallets.

Materials and Tools
Lumber -
1) 4 - 6ft pieces of 2'x4'
2) 4 - 4ft pieces of 2'x4'
3) 4 - 7in pieces of 2'x3' (can be easily substituted for 4"x4" or 2"x2", etc..)
PVC -
1) 6 - 7in pieces of 3/4" PVC piping
2) 3 - 10ft pieces of 1/2" PVC piping
Hardware -
1) 6 - 3/4" pipe fasteners
Tools -
Power Miter Box or Table Saw
Depending on construction either:
-Box of 2" 18Ga. galvanized nails
-Nail Gun
-Air Compressor
-Box of 2"-3" Screws
-Drill
-Drill Bit
1) 4 - 6ft pieces of 2'x4'

1) 6 - 7in pieces of 3/4" PVC piping
2) 3 - 10ft pieces of 1/2" PVC piping
Hardware -
1) 6 - 3/4" pipe fasteners
Tools -
Power Miter Box or Table Saw
Depending on construction either:
-Box of 2" 18Ga. galvanized nails
-Nail Gun
-Air Compressor
-Box of 2"-3" Screws
-Drill
-Drill Bit
Assembly
Create first frame by butting up the joints and fastening. Repeat this process to construct a second layer or story for the box. Place on top and fasten together with pre-cut 1"x3"s (can add additional hardware if desired i.e. L-Brackets and other fasteners)
Attach the 3/4" PVC to the wood frame with the 3/4" pipe fasteners.
Place 10ft 1/2" PVC inside of 3/4" PVC housing.
Attach the 3/4" PVC to the wood frame with the 3/4" pipe fasteners.
Place 10ft 1/2" PVC inside of 3/4" PVC housing.
