Garlic Parsley Crispy Sliced Bake Potatoes

Clean & Peel Potatoes

Peeling (optional)
Clean - put under running water & wash off.
Place on tin foil

Preheat Oven to 425 or 450.

Faster cook at 450

Slice Potatoes

Slice 3/4 way down. Thin slices between each other. Don't cut all the way threw- unless you want scalp potatoes.

Mix Up Topping.

Mix in bowl or measuring cup.

1/2 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2tbs of black pepper-Ground
1/2 tsp of onion powder
1 to 2 tsp of parsley flakes
1/4 to 1/2 tsp of sea salt (optional)
1/2 to 1 tsp of Garlic-Ground or minced

Set aside for now.

Topping.

Melt Butter in Small Bowl

Prep - Potatoes for Baking

Use small amount of plain olive oil
Coat back first then flip over
Spreading apart each potato - start adding oil
Coat in between layers - don't worry about putting oil on top

Melted Butter

Put melted butter on top of potatoes

Cover & Bake

Place on bottom rack - centered

Bake for 30 min

Add Topping

Add topping- about 1/2 coat top & cover/bake
Bake for 30 minutes
Take out of oven - add all of topping to potatoes- cover & bake
Bake for 30 minutes

Uncover & Place on Baking Tray

Uncover potatoes & place on baking tray.
Bake for 30 more minutes- 2hrs total.

The crispy part.
Turn oven to Broil
Move potatoes to top rack - center
Broil for no more than 2 minutes- do not walk away.
Check on them - If they are crispy brown then take them out.
If not - then put back in for 30 sec to 1 min. Check every 15 sec.
Let cool for 2 min.
Turn off oven... Reminder
