Gas Cooking Protector
We are two Industrial design students from Israel . Well this is what we came up with. It worked for our partner wich is blind from birth, it didn't involve investing in heavy tools, it's cheap and it's simple to create. We hope you like it!
Bending Template
Hight- 20 cm
Fixed Rods - 28 mm in diameter
Distance between the rods - 15 cm
Bending Steps
Manufacturing instructions:
+Thread the Silicone tube on the Stainless steel rod.
+Bend the Stainless steel rod to a pattern with exact dimensions.
Magnets
+Attaching the magnets to the product:
Drill a 5.5 mm thick borehole along the 30 mm rods
Drill a 4 mm thick borehole in the rod's bottom
Screw the magnet through the 4 mm hole.
The Product
User manual:
Place the product under gas range on the stove top.
Make sure that the magnet facing downwards
When the fence is located, the pan can be placed in the product's orbit
