Get 3D Pinball Onto Vista
If you were like me, you were probably very disappointed that they removed 3D Pinball from Vista. Well this is the way to grab the program from Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows ME, or Windows NT and to put it onto Vista. This also works on Windows 7.
It was also included in the Microsoft Plus! package for Windows 95. For instructions on how to install it onto Windows 98 go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/188204 (Requires Windows 98 CD-ROM and Microsoft Plus! for Windows 95 CD-ROM).

Find the Folder
For Windows XP and Windows 2000 Professional, the exact filepath is C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Pinball. This is probably the same for Windows NT (4.0) as well. The filepath may or may not be different for Windows 9x operating systems (Includes Windows ME). I do not know as I have never done this on those particular versions for this purpose. Anyway, there are several other ways to find the folder. Use search to find "pinball", the FOLDER will turn up as one of the results. You can also go to the games folder in the "all programs" tab of the start menu and find the pinball icon. Right-click it and go into the shortcut's properties. Click "find target" in the "shortcut" tab and it will take you to the application (.exe) INSIDE the folder.
For Windows 95 & 98, it may not be possible as it is installed as an extra package. If anyone has any info on that, please share it with me.

Transfer the Folder
Transfer the folder (not just the game file) to your Vista machine by any means that is reasonable for you (e.x. via local network, e-mail, writable CD, or flash drive). Copy it to any directory in the computer as you like. You can make a shortcut for the game for easier access.
Fin
That's it! Windows should have no problems playing the old game. Have fun.
