Gilgoola - Pastrami & Pickle
"Gilggola" comes from the word Gilgool which is roll in Hebrew.
This is what my father used to make us as kids for a snack and it became a symbol for our childhood.
Would like to share this with you for you to enjoy (:
Supplies
- Pickles
- Pastrami
- Optional - Cheese.
Pastrami
We must start with our pastrami, open the packaging and pick a piece.
Place the chosen one on a plate, leave it there for the next step because we will be using it later.
Pickles
Now, we need to deal with the second part of the recipe.
Go ahead and open the pickle can.
The choosing process of the pickle is a bit complicated, but thats what we are here for (:
We need to choose a pickle that is almost as long as the pastrami's width.
Put It Together
Place the chosen pickle one of the pastrami's edges as shown in the picture.
Now start rolling from one end to the other and create the "Gilgoola".
Optional
If you like cheese with your Pastrami, you can place a piece of cheese on top of it after step 1.
Then proceed as mentioned above.
