Wash and Clean.
This recipe requires you to use your hands to prepare the dough. Before you begin, make sure you wash your hands. Clean off the surface of the counter or table you'll be working on.
Prepare Materials and Ingredients.
Be sure you have all the necessary materials and ingredients before starting.
Preheat.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare the Baking Sheet.
Evenly place the aluminum foil onto the baking sheet. This will ensure your cookies won’t stick to the sheet.
Soften the Butter.
In a microwave oven, place ½ cup of butter into a microwave-safe container and heat it up for 10 to 15 seconds. By softening the butter, the dough will be easier to mix and will come out smoother.
Combine the Ingredients.
In your medium-sized bowl, combine the Pillsbury’s Glutenfree Chocolate Chip Premium Cookie Mix, butter, egg, and water.
Stir.
Using an electric mixer, stir the ingredients until the dough becomes smooth and soft to the touch.
Use caution when operating an electric mixer. Don't touch the spoons while the mixer is on and pull your hair back if necessary.
Form the Dough.
Using a spoon and your hands, form the dough into teaspoon-sized balls and place them two inches apart on the baking sheet.
Add Texture.
Using a fork, gently press the prongs down onto each ball of dough horizontally and then vertically to create a cross-hatch pattern. This step is optional, but it adds more texture to your cookies and makes them look a little tastier.
Bake.
Once the oven has finished preheating, place the baking sheet into the oven. Use oven mittens to protect your skin from burns. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or the edges have set.
Allow to Cool.
Once your cookies have finished baking, remove them from the oven. Wear oven mittens to prevent injury. Place the baking sheet on a cool rack.
After two minutes, cookies should be firm and ready to eat. Enjoy!
